For more information on AWS EFS, click [here](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/efs/latest/ug/whatisefs.html). **Integration Method:** API **Tables**: Cloud Resource Inventory Info (5023) This integration supports the following events. | **Event** | **Description** | | --- | --- | | Elastic File Systems | Provides details about Amazon EFS file systems present in the AWS account for the specified region. | This integration supports the following versions. | AWS EFS API version | 2015-02-01 | | --- | --- | > [!NOTE] > **Note:** > > AWS EFS is a continuously updated service. As for this document preparation, the latest release was on June 9, 2025. More information can be found [here](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/efs/latest/ug/document-history.html). ## Prerequisites - To Configure AWS EFS, refer [here](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/efs/latest/ug/getting-started.html#gs-step-one-create-ec2-resources). - Refer to this [common procedure](https://docs.databee.buzz/docs/prerequisites-aws-configuration) on how to create an IAM user, configure the AWS Access Key and AWS Secret Key, attach an IAM policy with required permissions. - The user should have access to the DataBee console. ## Configuration Overview 1. Generate an AWS Access Key & Secret Key with the required IAM policies 2. Add the [AWS EFS](/user-manual/docs/aws-efs#databee-configuration) in the DataBee console with the below parameters. | **DataBee Parameter** | **AWS EFS Parameter** | | --- | --- | | Access Key | [AWS Access Key](/docs/aws-efs#aws_config) | | Secret Key | [AWS Secret Key](/docs/aws-efs#aws_config) | | AWS Region | [AWS Region](/docs/aws-efs#aws_config) | | Service Name | elasticfilesystem | ## AWS EFS Configuration 1. Start by creating a IAM user with the API credentials. This common step is documented at [AWS Configuration Prerequisites](https://docs.databee.buzz/docs/prerequisites-aws-configuration). 2. Once the IAM user has been created, Refer this document [Getting Started](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/efs/latest/ug/getting-started.html) for further steps. 3. Ensure the AWS Access Key is attached to an IAM policy that allows the **elasticfilesystem:DescribeFileSystems** action. The minimum permissions required would be **AmazonElasticFileSystemReadOnlyAccess**. Refer [here](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/aws-managed-policy/latest/reference/AmazonElasticFileSystemReadOnlyAccess.html) more info on the policy. ## DataBee Configuration 1. Login to the DataBee UI, navigate to **Data** > **Data Feeds** and click the **Add New Data Feed** button. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/04e48772-4346-44a4-aa69-043eca42257c/Images/Documentation/aws-efs-image-dec81hfe.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-30T12%3A09%3A26Z&se=2026-10-30T13%3A09%3A26Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=5DDLaDPJ%2FD5fFrvj%2B5e6vDGyetf1X6Iosvp9xcyxAI8%3D) 2. In the configuration page, confirm the following: - **API Base URL:** This is the base URL that DataBee will interact with. Replace with appropriate AWS region - **Authorization Method**: AWS Signature - **Access Key**: Paste the [AWS Client Access Key](/docs/aws-efs#aws_config) - **Secret Key**: Paste the [AWS Client Secret Key](/docs/aws-efs#aws_config) - **AWS Region:** Type the [AWS region](/docs/aws-efs#aws_config) - **Session Token:** Can be left empty - **Service Name:** elasticfilesystem - **Event Types**: Preselected for all the event types that integration pulls. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/04e48772-4346-44a4-aa69-043eca42257c/Images/Documentation/aws-efs-image-qdwc9h61.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-30T12%3A09%3A26Z&se=2026-10-30T13%3A09%3A26Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=5DDLaDPJ%2FD5fFrvj%2B5e6vDGyetf1X6Iosvp9xcyxAI8%3D) 6. Click **Submit**. ## Troubleshooting Tips - Ensure the Access Key, Secret Key, Region are pasted correctly. Since you cannot view the Secret Key after the 1st time, re-create the AWS Access Key & AWS Secret Key, paste it on a text editor to ensure no spaces or unexpected characters are included and reconfigure the DataBee feed. - Ensure the AWS EFS scopes/permissions are correct.
