DataBee's content delivery feature offers you a seamless way to access and download the Business Intelligence (BI) dashboard template(s). This section will guide you through the process of obtaining a template to enhance your data visualization experience.

Click on the Content button. This will gain access to the CCM Dashboard template(s) that cater to your data visualization needs.

Content_list

The BI dashboard template is accompanied by relevant metadata, including:

  • Description: A brief description of the template's purpose and contents, aiding you in making an informed choice.

  • Last Downloaded: This timestamp indicates the most recent date the template was downloaded

  • Last Sync: When the dashboard views were last synchronized with the data lake

  • Last Updated: Reflects the date of the template's last update, helping you stay informed about any improvements or changes.

Note:

With DataBee, you can access dashboard templates according to your license. If you're a customer or tenant without a license, you'll notice the template appears greyed out. To purchase our add-on or for further assistance, please get in touch with DataBee Sales or Support.

Click on the download icon associated with the template which initiates the download process. The chosen dashboard template is conveniently packaged as a .pbit  or .twbx file. Depending on your browser settings, you may be prompted to specify the location where you want to save the template file. Select a suitable directory on your device where it will be downloaded. You are now ready to leverage it within your BI environment.

To sync dashboard views with the data lake, simply click on the refresh icon of the respective dashboard template.

Content Delivery

To navigate to “Content Delivery” page, click on the configuration icon on the top right side and then select System. From the left side menu, select Content Delivery. This section allows you to configure DataBee to view the embedded Tableau dashboards.

  • Enabled checkbox: when enabled, DataBee allows displaying content from Tableau.

  • Tableau Username: Username for the Tableau user account.

  • Data Source Username: Username for Tableau to use when authenticating to the data lake.

  • Data Source Password: Password for Tableau to use when authenticating to the data lake.

Click Submit to save the changes.

Syncing may overwrite existing dashboard views, potentially causing the loss of any customizations.

Troubleshooting

Case 1: Embedded Tableau Does Not Load in Safari

By default, Safari's privacy settings may prevent embedded Tableau dashboards from loading. To resolve this issue, update your browser settings as follows:

Solution:

  1. Open Safari and go to Settings.

  2. Navigate to the Privacy tab.

  3. Uncheck the option Prevent cross-site tracking.

  4. Ensure Block all cookies is turned off to allow third-party cookies.

  5. After making these changes, reload the page to check if the embedded Tableau dashboard is displayed correctly.
