Active Directory (AD) is a centralized directory service used to manage user identities, computer accounts, and network resource access within a Windows domain network, allowing administrators to manage permissions and security policies, group memberships and user details in a single, accessible location. Prerequisites
Privileges requirements
Enable ADDS in AD Server.
The user should have access to the DataBee console.
Software requirements
PowerShell version 7 or later
Windows Server WS 2022 LTSC (Standard Edition) x86_64 (64 bit)
Configuration Overview
Add Microsoft Active Directory feed in DataBee
AD Server Configuration
Enable ADDS on the AD Server.
Launch Server Manager > Dashboard > ADDS.

Enable WinRM.
DataBee Configuration
Login to the DataBee console, navigate to System > Data Collectors and create a Windows data collector.




Install Data Collector in Windows Machine.
Powershell 7 is required. Refer to this article about upgrading Powershell. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/scripting/install/install-powershell-on-windows?view=powershell-7.5
Open Powershell7 Run as Administrator and paste the Data Collector install command
Pass provided parameters from DataBee UI.



Navigate to Data > Data Feeds and click the Add New Data Feed button.

Search for the Microsoft Active Directory and click it as shown below.

Click on the Data Collector > Dynamic Ingest option.


Enter feed contact information and select created Data Collector > click Next.

Enter the configure data feed and click Submit.
