Remediating Denied Access

From denial to remediation

When a campaign is completed, the access items that were denied need to be revoked. DataBee groups denied items and tracks their revocation through remediation tickets so nothing falls through the cracks.

Open a completed campaign and select the Remediation tab.

The Remediation tab tracks ServiceNow tickets created to revoke denied access, grouped by application.

Reading the remediation table

ColumnDescription
ApplicationThe application whose denied access is being remediated.
StatusThe state of the remediation ticket — for example Created, Failed, or Not Required.
ServiceNow TicketThe ticket identifier for the remediation request. Where available it links to the ticket in ServiceNow.
DeniedThe number of denied access items covered by the ticket.

Ticket statuses

  • Created — a remediation ticket was successfully opened in ServiceNow.
  • Failed — the ticket could not be created; investigate the ServiceNow connection and retry.
  • Not Required — no remediation action was needed for that application.

Use this tab to confirm that every denial has a corresponding remediation ticket and to follow each ticket through to closure.
