# Ivanti CMDB

Ivanti CMDB (Configuration Management Database) is a central repository that stores detailed information about an organization's IT assets such as hardware, software, networks, and their interrelationships. It plays a key role in enabling efficient IT management and service delivery and is an integral component of the Ivanti ITSM platform.

**Integration Method:** API

**Tables**: Device Inventory Info (5001)

This integration supports the following type of events.

> Ivanti ITSM does not offer a built-in versioning system. As of this document preparation, the [latest release](https://www.ivanti.com/releases) was in Q1, 2025.

## Prerequisites

- The user should have access to the Ivanti ITSM portal.
- The user should have access to the DataBee console.

## Configuration Overview

## Ivanti Configuration

1. Log in to Ivanti ITSM portal as an administrator.
2. Before creating the API credentials, you need to create the user and role that has the necessary permissions to access the API.

### Create Role

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. ### Create User

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. ### Create API Key

1. 2. 3. 6. From the **New API Key** window:
  1.   2. ## DataBee Configuration

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. In the configuration page, confirm the following:
  - API Base URL: this is the base URL that DataBee will interact with. Replace the instance with base URL.
  - Authorization Method: Custom API Key
  - Access Key: paste the Reference ID generated earlier.

6. Click **Submit**.

## Troubleshooting Tips

- If you are facing an unauthorized error, it might be due to incorrect credentials or a missing role. Reconfigure the Reference ID by the [above](/user-manual/docs/ivanti-cmdb#ivanti-configuration) mentioned steps and ensure that it is pasted correctly.
