Preliminary Deployment
Overview
This section will walk you through the preliminary deployment process for setting up your DataBee environment. We will cover the necessary actions you need to take, including selecting an AWS region, choosing a subdomain name and email for your local admin account, and the expected next steps to be followed.
Timeline
The expected timeline for this deployment process is approximately one week.
What we need
Pick AWS region- When selecting an AWS region for your DataBee environment, you can choose from the following options.

Note:
The DataBee AWS region should be in the same region as its storage.
Subdomain name- any subdomain name of your choice, such as acme.us-east-1.databee.buzz.
Email- Provide an email address for the initial local admin account. This will be the primary account to which we will send important emails regarding your DataBee environment.
Customer Name- you can provide the name of your organization.
What you should expect
After the preliminary deployment process is complete, you can expect to receive an email with login credentials and a link to access your instance. This email will be sent to the email address provided for the initial local admin account.
Before connecting to your DataBee instance
Setup SSO- If you are using SSO, you will need the SAML meta file to set up single sign-on for your users.
Data lake setup- Follow the setup instructions for Snowflake or Iceberg(S3, ADLS) to configure the data lake of your choice.
Configure your Data feeds- From the available pool of data feeds, select the ones you wish to configure, to get a detailed configuration setup guide. Ensure that you have the required connection credentials ready.
Connecting to DataBee
Once your storage is configured and data source credentials are ready, connect to the DataBee UI. Begin with connecting the data lake, following the remaining instructions here: Data Storage. Connect to your data feeds described on a per-tool listing here: Data feeds Overview
